Fish Creek Falls, made famous after being featured on the Coors beer can, is only a 15 minute drive from town.

Steamboat Springs has also been made famous for the wonderful, natural hot springs found throughout the area. In the early 1900's, tourists visited Steamboat Springs for the therapeutic effects of the hot springs. Over 150 different springs of various mineral content can be found in a 25 mile radius of the city. Some old-timers still drink from the natural iron and lithium springs found there. There is a very informative walking tour of the mineral springs in downtown that you can follow. You can also relax in the hot mineral springs downtown or take a trip to the mountain valley above Strawberry Park for a therapeutic soak in a natural setting.

Dining ranges from international cuisine to down-home cooking. Several area restaurants have been featured in Food & Wine, Bon Appetit, Gourmet, and Cuisine magazines.
